Iowa Chiropractic Continuing Education
Requirements
Chiropractors in Iowa are required to obtain 40 hours biennially, beginning on July 1 and ending on June 30 of each even-numbered year. (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2026).
Online/Distance Learning Allowed:
16 Hours
Required CE Subjects:
If certified in Acupuncture, 12 Hours.
Required 2 hours professional boundaries regarding ethical issues related to professional conduct that may include, but are not limited to sexual harassment, sensitivity training, and ethics.
2 hours of continuing education credit at the time of the first biennial renewal period in Iowa Administrative Rules related to chiropractic physicians in Iowa.
1 hour every biennial renewal period after that in the content areas of the administrative rules related to chiropractic physicians in Iowa.
Classes on child abuse and dependent adult abuse that meet the criteria in 645
